Your Own AI Starter

In four weeks, your team uses its own AI on three real tasks, safely, with rules everyone understands and a costed plan for what to automate next.

Who it’s for

  • Nonprofits and purpose-led organisations with about 10 to 250 people, or one department of a larger one.
  • Teams where people already use AI on their own, or want to, and there is no shared set-up, policy or plan.
  • HR and People leaders who own the policy, the training and the change that comes with AI.

Not the right first step if you need a complex integration first (start with an agent scoping call) or only want an awareness talk (a free public course may suit you better, and we’ll say so).

Deliverables

What you get

Everything is set up in your accounts and stays yours.

  1. An opportunity map

The ten tasks where AI could save your team the most time, and the three to start with.

  2. Your own AI workspace

Set up and secured on the tool that fits you, in your accounts.

  3. Three assistants

One for each of your three tasks, each with a one-page “how to use it, when not to” card.

  4. An AI use policy

Written with your team, with a one-page staff guide.

  5. Training

A live session for up to 20 staff (recorded) and a one-hour briefing for leaders or trustees.

  6. An AI-literacy record

Who was trained, when and on what.

  7. Before-and-after results

For the three tasks, and a staff confidence check.

  8. A people plan

Which tasks change, which skills matter, how to talk to staff about it, and named AI champions.

  9. A 90-day roadmap

And a fixed quote for your first agent.

  10. A check-in

    30 days after handover.

Week by week

How the four weeks work

  1. Week 1

    Discover

A 90-minute kick-off with your leaders. A 10-minute anonymous staff survey. Up to three short interviews. A check of your tools, licences and data.

    You get: the opportunity map.

  2. Week 2

    Set up

We configure your AI workspace (data controls, access, retention) and build the three assistants with your documents. Three to five staff test them. We time each task.

You get: a working, secured workspace.

  3. Week 3

    People and rules

We write the policy with you, run the staff session and the leaders’ briefing, and write the people plan.

You get: a trained team, a policy and an AI-literacy record.

  4. Week 4

    Prove and plan

We time the tasks again, check staff confidence, and agree the roadmap and the next step.

You get: the results, the roadmap and a fixed quote.

What we need from you

  • A named project lead, for about two or three hours a week.
  • Admin access to the tool we set up.
  • Licences in place by week 2.
  • Three to five staff willing to test.

What’s not included

  • Software licences: you buy them directly, and many tools have free or discounted nonprofit plans. We help you choose.
  • Connections to other systems (CRM, finance, case management) and chatbots for your website or WhatsApp: these are AI agents.
  • Legal sign-off: we write a practical policy and flag legal questions for your adviser or data protection officer.
  • More tools, more assistants or more people trained can be added at a fixed price.

Questions

Can we use the AI tool we already pay for?

Yes, that is usually the best place to start. We check what your licences include and what your organisation qualifies for before we set anything up.

We have more than 250 people. Can we still start here?

Yes. We scope one department as a Starter, or quote a larger programme after a scoping call.

How is the Starter priced?

It has a fixed price, agreed upfront before we start, with a reduced rate for registered nonprofits. How our pricing works

What happens after the four weeks?

You keep everything we set up. You get a 90-day roadmap and a fixed quote for your first agent, and we check in 30 days after handover. There is no obligation to go further.

Can it be funded?

Some funders now support AI tools and training. We can help you check what applies to your organisation: see AI for nonprofits.

Does this help with the EU AI Act?

It helps with one duty in particular. In the EU, organisations that use AI must take measures to build their staff’s AI literacy; no set level or certificate is required. The Starter includes staff training and a record of who was trained. It is not legal advice or a certification.
